Dingbat Sigtags Tutorial By: ~K3G~ ~Designs~

This is my very first tutorial I have ever written,
Thanks to the wonderful response to my sig tag
I have decided to give it a go and write a tut on it!!

For this tut you will need:

1. A ding font, you can get one here

2. The gold pattern fill here
*Unzip it to your patterns folder in psp.
You might have to look in your patterns folder after you download the zip
to make sure its not in a folder named "new Folder"
If it is go into that folder and move it out to your patterns
folder with all your other patterns!

*Find where you saved your ding font to and double click on it
to open it then just minimize it for now!

1. Open a new image in psp of 300X300 transparent

2. Set yout foreground and background colors to
a rusty orange color, I used, #C28147

2. Click on your text tool, click in the center
of your image to bring up the text box.

3. Use the little black arrow next to the font (upper left of text box)
to drop down your font list, look for the ding font you have
minimized earlier click on it to make it your selected font!
*Make sure Floating and Antialias are checked!*

You will want to have a large # for your ding size,
I used 95 these #'s are not in the drop down size
it only goes to 72, you have to type them in yourself.
Play with the size untill you get a size you like!
Hit, OK and you should have something like this,

Leave the image selected, (martching ants around it)

4. Go to your effects/texture effects/sculpture

Find your gold pattern you saved there
and click on it and use these settings,

your image should look like this now,

Go to selections/and select none!

5. Go to Layers/add new raster layer
You don't have to name this layer.

6. Click on your text tool again

Chose a font you want to place your name on your tag!
Again play with the size, it depends on the font you chose,
I used the font, Fancy Pants at size 36.
Write the name in the text box, hit OK.

Leave selected (Marching ants)

7. we are going to repeat step #4
Effects/texture effects/sculpture,
use the same exact settings as in
step #4 hit OK.
now your image should look like this!

Go to selections/select none!

8. Click on your mover tool,

Move your text to where you want it under
your ding image, now we will crop the image,
we dont need all that wasted space!

9. Click on your crop tool,

Drag it around your image, be careful not to get your
image in the crop! If this happens just re-do your crop and the
first crop you made will disappear!
Go to Image/Crop!

There you go you're all done!!!

I saved my tag as a transparent gif,
to do this I went to,
file/export/Gif optimizor,
I used the wizard as followes,

Here is my end result!!

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, as I said this is my very first
attempt at writting a tutorial!!
